I designed and taught literature and grammar lessons to 7th and 8th grade students and implemented strategies to expand the reading levels of ESL learners. I also oversaw the school-wide youth court (peer-based) team in order to guide first-time offenders away from further negative behavior. I co-taught a remedial reading class for students that averaged a 3rd grade reading level, creating strategies and group activities to keep them motivated.
