I'm a published writer with experience as an editor, researcher, and teacher. I've recently been awarded a 2024 Marian Hebb Research Grant to conduct research for my novel-in-progress. My writing has been supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and the BC Arts Council. I teach creative writing workshops online and in-person, with a focus on play, process, and exploration. Recent work has been featured on The Slowdown Show and anthologized in Best Canadian Poetry 2024 and 2025. My prose and poetry have been published or are forthcoming in The Massachusetts Review, The Adroit Journal, Canadian Literature, Grain, West Branch, The New Quarterly, CV2, and PRISM international. "Two-Day Summer" won the 2023 Okanagan Short Story Contest. My poems have been shortlisted for the Montreal International Poetry Prize, The Bridport Prize in Flash Fiction, and Arc Poetry Magazine's Poem of the Year Award. I hold an MFA in Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and a BFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia.
