Secretary to Consultant Paediatrician. Have worked in both the Community POD and Acute POD within the Paediatric Department. I work very closely with Parents of children with very complex needs, from the initial referral to the department all the way through to appointments, various tests, referrals to other NHS Hospitals and finally to their discharge.I work very closely with my Consultant Paediatrician, being first port of call for all phone calls and keeping a diary, as well as making all appointments and re-scheduling all clinics and appointments for patients.I am also Safeguarding Secretary for Paediatrics at Epsom Hospital. Helping Social Workers with arranging child protection medicals at short notice for children at risk. I also manage all Safeguarding Conference invitations and minutes of meetings as well as any queries from Colleagues within the Hospital.
