• University's first point of contact for all asbestos issues• Procurement and management of removal contracts, surveying and sampling for all 310 University buildings• Management of the University's asbestos budget (c. £500,000 pa)• Advising senior management/academics on asbestos Health & Safety issues• Ongoing management and maintenance of the University asbestos register on MICAD• Working with and advising design teams on asbestos issues associated with their work

• Working directly with the Deputy Director of Estates (Facilities) in the implementation and development of a new car parking management system to replace previous system• Liaison with supplier of the ParkIt software to develop the software to the University's very specific needs• Working to strict deadlines to ensure the launch of the new parking system• Administration of high volume of confidential applications and inputting large quantity of information into several databases for 2000 car parking applications• Producing the instructions and content for the new parking web pages

• Issuing staff and student identity cards under pressure and to strict deadlines• Ordering all supplies for access card work• Devising new systems for updating and producing access cards and meeting members of staff at all levels in other departments to co-ordinate efforts• Purchasing of keys using the SAP purchasing system, identifying which keys are required and ensuring correct levels of authority are followed. Issuing keys and keeping accurate records of the key holders• The maintenance of the database and the keys within a secure cabinet for use in emergency situations by security patrols and the security and filing of several thousand keys for the various buildings on campus• Producing procedure manuals and instructions sheets for the security department• All the above required confidentiality and working within data protection rules• Contact with a broad group of people from 17-year-old students to Professors, with a wide cultural diversity
