As an interior designer at Bennington Furniture, I start with an in-home consultation. After seeing and measuring the space we begin the design process. Working closely with clients, I create floor plans with the optimal furniture arrangement and find the perfect assortment of pieces: furniture, accessories, art, floor coverings and window treatments to create their desired look. In the store, I merchandise the showroom, in both the Manchester and the Rutland locations. Work closely with the buyer on displays and receiving department on incoming orders. Visual merchandise products to increase sales and keep in theme with store design. Monitor sales daily, manage and maintaing greeting card section, organize back stock and inventory both daily and yearly. Place orders, work with vendors to secure timely delivery, and receive merchandise into I-merchant database.Contributed to the stores website. I redesigned the stores New and Noteworthy page and worked with the web and marketing team to discuss how the bookstore could utilize site in the future. Promote products through merchandising to increase sales.
