Alison Coldwell is a Freelance Consultant | CSR Specialist | SheFest Co-Founder. She is proficient in Hindi, Latin American Spanish, Italian and French. During the time I have worked with her, I have been impressed by her extraordinary drive and energy which she puts into all her endeavours. Working across boundaries and teams to reach her goals, she takes a no-nonsense approach combined with intense focus, and is not afraid to challenge the status quo for the benefit of a project after considering it holistically. Coming from a DTP background she is strongly creative, and has produced numerous professional-grade publications advertising our services thanks to her flair for impact and design. Ali played a pivotal role in the creation of the Confluence site (wiki-style site for documenting SDL processes), steered the group responsible for its inception, structure and design, and went above and beyond by organising 'sprints' with the team to organise and focus their efforts. She gets results through hard work, communication and commitment, and when working in a team expects the same standard from others. In this way her projects progress with efficiency and traction. Ali has played a key role in SDL as a leading CSR representative. She has been involved in numerous volunteering initiatives with and without SDL's sponsorship: she recently took a sabbatical leave to act as Volunteer Manager in Central America (see her #sabbatigoals blog) and has a genuine drive to help people in the wider community. She has a keen sense of social justice and it has been impressive to see her willingness to get involved and to motivate others to do likewise."
