I am a British/French dual national currently in working as Project Engineer at a Nuclear Technologies company A.N. Technology. I achieved a Distinction in my MSc Advanced Mechanical Engineering at the University of Liverpool where I also obtained a 2:1 in BEng Mechanical Engineering. My final year project during my BEng was investigating Active Vibration Suppression by the Receptance Method. This project involved designing and analysing whether a suppression of a system can be improved by identifying the weak areas. It involved using the FEA software MATLAB, NASTRAN and PATRAN to analyse a simple structure’s geometry and mechanical properties and calculate the weak points using the receptance method.I have studied a module on structural integrity that is developing my knowledge on structures and failure analysis including Non-destructive testing. Furthermore, I have worked in subjects such as solids and structures and solid mechanics that focus on a structure’s dynamic composition. Other modules such as material selection and laser material processing helped build my foundation on safety testing. For my MSc individual project (dissertation) I was working on the subject ‘Improving the Non-Destructive Testing of Safety Critical Structures,’ which is partly a practical investigation into predicting ultrasonic testing results by studying attenuation. I think this range of subjects would make me an ideal candidate for this position in your company. I have enjoyed working on CAD and my understanding of its operation and software is good as illustrated by my work in projects at university.
