Reporting to Safeguarding Lead and Academy Principle, with responsibility for Child Protection at Hollington Primary Academy. Up until October 2018, I also held this role at Silverdale Primary Academy, another part of University of Brighton Academy Trust.Members of staff bring all concerns about the welfare of pupils to me for further investigation and possible escalation to the authorities via Children’s Services. Responsibilities: -• Multi-Agency Case Conferences (Education, Police, School Nurse/Health Visitor, Youth Support, Keyworkers, Homeworks Housing Support, Probation, Substance Mis-use Support Workers.)• Child Protection Core Group Meetings (section 47)• Family Support Meetings (section 17 Child in Need)• Early Help Meetings (level 3 intervention)• Strategy Meetings with multi-agency professionals (see above)• Writing Academy policies – Safeguarding, Child Protection Policies, Health & Safety• Devise and deliver training to audiences of up to 100• Address attendance issues• Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted 2016 (Hollington) and 2018 (Silverdale)

Reporting to Designated Safeguarding Lead and Inclusion Manager, I was responsible for supporting the Inclusion Manager, with the welfare of ‘additional needs’ children.
