I am an enthusiastic professional whose work experience has predominately been in higher education and local government. I have a great deal of international experience studying and working in the United Kingdom but also with international institutions and organisations. I thrive while working under pressure and thoroughly enjoy enabling people to reach their potential. I value collaboration, teamwork and the sharing of ideas and opinions to gain the best possible solution.I am passionate about political science, international relations and history. Specifically my area of interest is in humanitarian intervention, human rights and foreign policy. Throughout my education, I have done research on humanitarian intervention in ethnic cleansing and genocide, with a focus on the Rwandan Genocide. Whilst studying current issues, I believe one must also study the history and background that underlines these. I am also interested in the concept of Responsibility to Protect; and the role of the international community and intergovernmental organisations such as the United Nations and European Union. I believe in the strength of caring local and international communities, in empowering and supporting people. I am seeking opportunities in non-profit organisations, intergovernmental organisations, nongovernmental organisations, or government.
