About Alison Garner

I am a creative producer, theatre maker & arts educator & founder Director of Elevator Arts CIC. Through imagination, play & intervention my work breaks boundaries - making the everyday extraordinary.My background is in creating inclusive, accessible theatre and visual art outside of the confines of traditional institutions. I have a particular interest in site-specific, immersive performance & have worked as a designer with companies such as: Wildworks, Punchdrunk, Birmingham Opera Company & Metro-Boulot-Dodo. As a producer and project manager I’m passionate about working on innovative, socially engaged performance and multi-disciplined projects. Since 2007 I’ve been delivering dynamic and enriching projects that connect with potentially excluded communities, aiming to encourage wellbeing, community cohesion and greater understanding through engagement in the arts.
