21st Century Renaissance is an independent publishing house I founded in 2012 to publish The Visual Time Traveller: 500 years of history illustrated in 5-year time jumps (the illustrations were specially commissioned). 21CR focuses on history, illustration and poetry placing the highest value on the imagination and skills of the writers, illustrators and designers who create its books and art works. All production details support Irish businesses: editing, design, print, binding completed in Ireland (except The Visual Time Traveller which required the expertise of a fine art printer in the Netherlands).Born in Cork, 1961, BA degree in Maths and Economics and a HDipEd, both from Trinity College Dublin; worked as the Institute of Physics Representative in Ireland for almost 13 years. I have completed three courses at The Drawing School on Merrion Square on the Discipline of Drawing, learning the traditional skills used by the Old Masters. I have recently taken up sailing again, with my husband, Justin. We sail a classic wooden dinghy, a Water Wag, the oldest one-design dinghy in the world, which was created for racing in Dun Laoghaire harbour over a hundred years ago. I have three adult children and one grandchild.
