Assistant Director of Student Success Programs (SSP), focused on the First-Generation Student Success programs at UC San Diego, which includes The Student Success Coaching Program (SSCP) and the Triton Firsts Iniative. SSCP supports the success and retention of a distinct cohort of first-generation college students at UC San Diego through a variety of indivualized coaching programs and services, while Triton Firsts brings together all first-generation students, staff, faculty, alumni and supporters in large-scale events. All in service of the first-generation community at UC San Diego. Co-lead NASPA First-Gen Forward Advisory for the Pacific South West.

I am part of a team of innovative, inclusive, caring folks who support amazing first-generations college students from Marshall and Muir Colleges on their journeys at UC San Diego.

I support students at UC San Diego in John Muir College through success coaching, goal setting, supporting learning styles, and connecting students to resources.

I had the great privilege to work with the Chancellor's Associates Scholars Program students as they transition to college, find internships, and develop as students at a Research I institution. I worked with students directly, worked on assessment, and lead learning communities as part of Student Retention & Success at UC San Diego.

· Edit personal statements, resumes, and applications for undergraduate and graduate schools· Advise students applying to college· Conduct custom PowerPoint presentations at schools throughout Southern California · Prepare medical school applicants for admissions interviews· Compile and utilize client information using BatchBook and Salesforce software· Write and edit a weekly admissions blog and newsletter· Organize bookkeeping and accounting practices; prepare company for incorporation· Recruit, interview and train new employees

Supported student development and outreach skills to multiple cohorts of Price Community Scholars, selected high school graduates from City Heights. Worked in small learning communities to help facilitate social, academic, and emotional growth, while also creating opportunities for students to give back to the community.

· Instructed classes and privately tutored students in SAT and GRE test preparation· Prepared and presented marketing campaigns at high schools and colleges in the Southern California region

· Crafted lessons in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint), Google Documents, Google Sketch, Internet safety, netiquette, and hardware· Conducted unique lessons for students grades Kindergarten through Eighth Grades· Created and taught lesson in media arts

· Designed and implemented courses in computers, technology, history, economics, writing and literature· Designed courses in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher and Google Documents· Implemented lesson plans according to California state standards in charter schools in San Diego
