Researching the definitions, designation, and purpose of the classification “visible minority” and its implications in Canada under the direction of Professor Debra Thompson in the Department of Political Science

• Manage both MIR’s day-to-day operations, organizational outlook, and strategic vision• Hire and lead a staff of 95 people in the creation of written, audio, and video content relating to international affairs • Develop and present MIR’s financial 2023-24 budget, apply for publication grants through multiple avenues• Expand the breadth of content and mediums MIR publishes to include more sociocultural critique and breaking news• Led the publication to winning the Students’ Society of McGill University (SSMU) Publication of the Year award

Lead a team of writers and editors through multiple publication cycles each semester; copyedit articles; review applications and conduct interviews with prospective staff; collaborate with the Editorial Board to discuss editorial standards, responses to current events, and promote staff and organizational development.

Comprehensively edit and oversee the production of articles, facilitate journalistic development of staff writers, and continue to produce editorial pieces and podcasts analyzing current events.

Pitch, outline, and write articles reporting on current issues in politics, law, and culture; specialized in US politics, Asia-Pacific development, and social justice.

Managed all external communications engaging other McGill organizations, the larger Montreal community, guest speakers, and oversaw outreach

Teach public speaking and debate to students between the ages of 11 and 14, creating engaging lesson plans and exercises drawn from my own extensive competitive experience in the area.

VYMUN is an educational conference run by WPGA students with the goal of introducing students to the Model UN world by focusing on developing diplomacy, public speaking, and negotiation skills. Spearheaded, led, and organized a conference for 500+ delegates coming from across British Columbia.
