Business partnering to 2 Divisional Managing Directors who lead teams of 30,000+ colleagues from regional leaders to colleagues in stores. Representing People as part of the Retail leadership team shaping thinking and activity in a fast paced, innovative retail trading environment with the ability to fix the foundations as well as shape future thinking and programmes of work.

An integral part of the Retail team partnering the Retail Director for Waitrose. Shaping and delivering a strong and effective People strategy whilst reflecting the culture of the Partnership.

Devising and developing the talent strategy within the Waitrose Division. Supporting and enabling the organisation to define such talent required in order to achieve optimum organisational and Partner performance and potential.Achievements and responsibilities• The development and execution of talent management mechanisms and processes to raise individual and collective management capability and performance across the Business.• Created a role matching process to support line managers in matching skills and capabilities as part of the introduction of a new roles within the Retail management structures.• Graduate talent activation; Identified opportunities to accelerate talent development within the graduate population across JLP.• Introduced a talent review process to review potential and shape future talent strategies.

Achievements and responsibilities• Delivery of HR advice and expertise to a Senior Retail Operations Manager and 24 designated Waitrose branches within London, Herts, Beds and Essex area, totalling approx 5,400 employees, collaborating to achieve both branch and regional business plans and strategies. Effective manpower planning forecast, strategies and delivery. Led an HR team:- Reduced staff turnover from 27 to 21%, improved trainee manager success rates from 55% to 75%
