Initially freelance, I created the brand identity and website for this Sydney based specialty coffee importer. The role developed into an ongoing part-time position where I was responsible for the website, social media, creative consultancy and event production. Co-developing and organisation of events included major producer events with AV requirements and cuppings within the specialty coffee industry throughout Australia. During my employment I was studying full-time and living in Melbourne.

Harris + Hoole was born from a joint venture between Tesco and Taylor St. Baristas, in which we opened almost 50 shops in 2 years. Initially reporting to CEO & Experience Director as Brand Guru, my vast role incorporated branding & design coordination with the design agency, lead copy writing across external communications, event management, sourcing design elements, customer service and brand-wide social media. As the company grew and our strategy refined, I reported to the Head of Marketing where I worked on campaigns, shop opening activities, design coordination, produced internal & product roll-out communication, and delivered social media training with shop managers.

This role was created for me to enhance operational functions, produce events such as the UK AeroPress Championship, shop opening projects, and undertake various marketing/social media tasks. Taylor St. Baristas grew from seven to nine shops when I was employed by them, and subsequently created the joint venture with Tesco (Harris + Hoole) which I transitioned to.

Whilst studying I began volunteering at Essendon Football Club, and was soon given part-time paid work in the Marketing Services (Events) department. As well as planning work with the Marketing Services Coordinator, I regularly co-hosted match day events in the Diamond Dons Coterie Group, and worked collaboratively within a team to deliver major events such as the Crichton Medal and the 2000 Premiership Reunion. In 2010 I was given my own portfolio of events to produce and run including the Past Players Dinners, Sponsorship Experience events, and bi-annual kids clinics where 600 children, 30 volunteers and all senior players were present.
