Developing and supporting the functionality of the SAP BW System (Version 7.3) and interfaces into SAP ISU and CRM. Performed in depth analysis of existing systems in the Finance area of NPOWER (e.g. ORACLE Financials) and produced high quality design specifications for the SAP project to promote a smooth transition from Legacy to SAP, and to ensure the full functionality of parallel running during the migration period. Worked closely with business users and SAP Consultants and conducted workshops to understand requirements and translated these into Functional and Technical Specifications.

Managed a team of eight developers and provided ORACLE Consultancy to business users and project teams impacting live applications (various ORACLE systems running on UNIX). Designed, developed and enhanced code (ORACLE PL/SQL and UNIX Shell Scripts). Reviewed business requirements, conducted impact assessments, ensured feasibility of technical solutions to guarantee business requirements were accurately reflected. Designed and developed a complete marketing solution for an outsourced B & Q customer database to be brought in house and managed locally. The raw data was provided by third parties in varying formats from legacy systems. Installed and configured ORACLE software, designed the databases, migrated all the data into the databases and performed various data cleansing activities to ensure data integrity. Core functionality was developed using PL/SQL (Functions, Stored Procedures and Packages).

Developed the company’s Billing system (ORACLE 8i database running on a UNIX platform). Created PL/SQL Functions, Procedures and Packages. Designed complex Billing Reports within a constantly demanding schedule and developed UNIX shell scripts to extract large volumes of data for Freeserve’s Data Warehouse. Designed front end interfaces in ORACLE forms 6i and end user reports in ORACLE Reports 6i. Liaised with internal clients to develop solutions and worked with third party vendors from overseas.

Developed the ORACLE database back-end processes to interface with the front-end applications for the Company’s Mortgage Application System. Created functions, stored procedures and packages in PL/SQL. Produced ORACLE WebDB applications for Management Information and the Mortgage Decision System for the company’s Intranet.

Provided technical expertise for the Computing department for the Faculty of Information and Engineering Systems: - Problem solving, fault reporting & logging. Application support for ORACLE software (ORACLE 7 database, SQL*Plus, Developer 2000, Designer 2000) and specialist software for computer students.

Managed the ORACLE applications for the Computer Services Department. Installed and configured ORACLE software in the Faculty’s computing laboratories, lecture theatres and staff computers. Designed, Developed, Administered and Maintained ORACLE databases for students - (ORACLE 7 - UNIX Server/Windows NT Workstations). Migrated data into ORACLE using SQL*Loader. Imported and Exported ORACLE databases. Provided support for ORACLE software including SQL*Plus, Forms 4.5, Reports and Designer 2000.
