I am excited to announce that I now have a new role! Senior Lecturer in Postgraduate Education (0.5) to go alongside my work as Research Fellow in workplace wellbeing (0.5).

I am working as a postdoctoral research fellow on a mix of research projects. I am also teaching part time on an online Masters in Education programme.

I have been involved in a wide mix of projects. I have supported all aspects of quality improvement, and delivered training to support all aspects of teaching and learning. I have written and reviewed training materials and qualifications for awarding bodies, and written a range of training materials to support high quality teaching and learning. I am a registered assessor for the matrix standard for information, advice and guidance. I have also been a standards verifier and quality reviewer for Edexcel. I was involved in delivering training on national programmes such as the Sector Management College's Managing Curriculum & Quality module and the LSIS Advanced Teaching and Learning Coach and Subject Learning Coach programmes for the south west region for Learning South West. I was also the regional specialist lead for English and maths in the south west for several years, supporting teachers in a wide range of post-16 organisations.

As deputy to the principal I was a key member of the college senior management team, and as such I was involved in all aspects of strategic planning and reporting.I led staff through significant changes to improve the quality of the student experience, including raising standards of teaching and learning, improving the quality of student support, and dramatically improving success rates. I was the Ofsted nominee through two successful inspections, and was commended by the lead inspector on both occasions.

As a member of the senior management team, my responsibilities included a significant quality improvement role. I was responsible for high level budget reporting, staff development, school liaison, and worked with the principal to develop the college’s first ever strategic plan. I had line management responsibility for curriculum areas including the commercial business school. As part of my role I transformed many operational processes, including development of admissions system and closer working relationships with island schools. I was also a member of the peer inspection team for Highlands College, Jersey. I continued to teach business, management and teacher training.
