I learnt strong foundations with roles in audit, tax and unit pricing, then spent four years as a client relationship manager at BT Financial Group with clients including Vanguard and PIMCO. My multiple subsequent roles at MLC were varied across finance, projects and governance. My most recent role at MLC was managing the investment governance function for MLC’s Financial Advice Licensees and many aspects of the MLC Superannuation funds. This included: designing Board Policies, playing a lead role in APRA & ASIC regulatory response and requests from the 2018 Banking Royal Commission, ensuring investment governance frameworks were best practice and adhered to, and frequently presenting to Investment Committees and Boards. Since the sale of MLC to Insignia Financial I have successfully managed the program of work to harmonise the four Insignia Trustees’ varied Investment Policies and processes. This has included Policy analysis and design, drafting a wide variety of proposals for the Trustees, and being a lead presenter to Investment Committees and Boards. I have also been responsible for a large number of written regulatory responses on complex investment governance matters, in addition to briefing Directors for meetings with APRA and attending such meetings as a subject matter expert.I am highly focused on promoting the financial well-being of members in the Superannuation funds I represent. I also enjoy coaching others to improve their governance skills and confidence. In 2024 I was privileged to be selected for the "Women Rising" program at Insignia and have benefited from the associated personal development materials, in addition to having an executive mentor and broader based career coaching sessions.
