Led on funding bids for key infrastructure projects including Brechin Business Park and Arbroath Harbour Redevelopment and Visitor Centre and ESF training projects. Sat on LEADER LAGs in Rural Tayside for LEADER II and LEADER+ and accessed funds for Angus. Lead partner contact for Rural Tayside LEADER LAG with responsibility delivering for £2.8m budget and staff. On LEADER Strategic Board and involved in Scotland Govt/Cosla working groups. Also lead contact for Angus EFF Programme delivered on time and on budget. Member of Advisory Groups assessing bids. Lead contact for ESEC when officer and lead role transferred to Angus Council. Huge range of work with community groups and responsible for reviewing and implementing revised Council Community Grant Scheme with improved monitoring and audit to ensure best use of public funds and make application process easier. As a result Scheme acknowledged as best practice at national level. Never happier than when helping a group get funds and knowing it's making a difference to them, their lives or community.
