I had the pleasure to work for the Helmholtz Zentrum in Munich in a small team. I did literature research on the aspect of health before and after retirement and worked on the quality management of telephone interviews of a population-based study dealing with healthy aging. My tasks also enabled me to improve my Microsoft Office skills.

While working at ANAD e.V. as an intern, I was able to work with professionals in the field of nutrition, psychology and social work. I was given interesting and important tasks, where I could regularly communicate with and support children and young adults during their recovery process.

I organized fun activities with disabled children, giving their families some time off and also supervised one of them at school. During my internship at a physiotherapy practice I learned how to independently complete tasks quickly and efficiently. I was active in the bookkeeping department as well as responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the treatment rooms. Since I was able to sit in on patient treatments as well as fall-prevention in nursing homes, this voluntary internship intensified my interest in the field of health care.

During one winter season I was given the opportunity to gather vital experiences in the athletic-pedagogic field. At the ski school “Energy” in Munich I was able to work with Kindergarten children and teach them skills I have once learned. The children and I had a lot of fun, which lead to a pleasant atmosphere throughout. I enjoyed this job a lot, since I did not only learn pedagogical, but also teaching skills.
