In the framework of IOM’s Migration & Sustainable Development strategy, RO Brussels is rolling out activities in the EEA region and partner countries globally to build internal and external capacity in the area of Migration & Sustainable Development. This includes managing the EU-funded “Guidelines on Mainstreaming Migration into International Cooperation and Development Policy” (MMICD) project with the aim of contributing to effective mainstreaming of migration into international cooperation and development. The project is producing and piloting guidelines for the use of the EU, other donors and partner countries from the perspective of mainstreaming migration into development aid and donor cooperation and coordination. Accompanying capacity building measures are taking place in three pilot countries targeted by EU development aid.
