I was seconded part time to National Numeracy to support the National Numeracy Challenge Online. National Numeracy is an independent charity established in 2012 to help raise low levels of numeracy among adults and children, and promote the importance of everyday maths skills. Last year the Challenge Online was launched. This is a confidential, non-threatening, online assessment and learning resource designed to boost confidence and improve everyday maths skills. This is part of the National Numeracy Challenge, a call to action for learning providers, employers and community organisations to support individuals to improve their confidence and competence in everyday maths. National Numeracy are currently working with a range of partners including adult and community education providers, colleges, universities and community organisations to introduce the Challenge Online into their learning environments.
