As Service Delivery Manager, I was responsible for the development of the reference data service to the rest of the HSCIC. Using ITIL standards and Agile methods to release work packages, I have drawn upon my own experience as an analyst myself to develop a service which is customer focused.

As a pool analyst, I provided analytical support, project management and line management for three teams across the NHS IC. I managed a team of analysts providing detailed analysis of patient safety incident information. I lead the development of an online analytical tool, designed to provide a 'self-serve' data service, working alongside customers inside and outside the NPSA to ascertain their requirements. I also supported the team during a period of considerable change, taking on responsibilities outside my core role, helping to shape the strategic direction from an analytical perspective.

In this role I translated customer policy requirements into questions and subsequently outputs from several large scale national health and social care surveys. This role involved procurement and contract management, including financial planning for multi-million pound contracts. I provided statistical and project support for several changes to surveys to bring them up-to-date with current thinking and worked with stakeholders to ensure they were supported and informed during these changes.

I took a number of different roles, involving analysis of data about cancer patients. I provided a one-woman service of database management, data analysis and report production for 4 regional clinical audits, which also lead to several conference contributions and international collaborations. I also lead on data sharing in a research capacity.
