School Artistic Director
CurrentPrograms, produces, and oversees the successful realization of a non-for-profit theater’sacting school season of plays, performed by students from the NYU Tisch School of theArts Undergraduate Drama and Full-Time Conservatory programs. The season consistsof sixteen productions that include three classical plays and six contemporary works inthe Stage 2; a festival style format of five evenings of one-act plays, in a 50-seat blackbox theater; and two Atlantic for Kids children’s theater shows that are apart of theAtlantic’s main-stage season and perform at the Linda Gross Theater, a 200 seat Off-Broadway house.• Selects the material to be produced and maintains the artistic integrity of the season• Ensures that educational goals are met and the school mission statement is upheld• Serves as Department Head and supervises a staff of five individuals• Assembles creative teams and contracts for ninety freelance artists annually, and facilitates collaboration• Organizes auditions and is responsible for casting• Creates and manages production budgets and schedules• Leads students through the application and integration of training in the context of an audition, rehearsal, and performance process• Evaluates student progress and leads advisement sessions
