I’m in my last few days of working with SSE due to my impending retirement. I’ve been lucky to work with some amazing people and have always been impressed with the Company’s drive to improve. Sure, there have been frustrations on the way, but isn’t that necessary to change and grow?I’ve chosen now to embark on a journey of self-exploration which will push my comfort zones. It may be daunting but I’m looking forward to the challenge. As I shall no longer be active on LinkedIn under my SSE identity, I’d like to thank everyone who has sent messages of support over the years. We’ve had some great conversations and I’ve enjoyed connecting with so many different and interesting people. For those considering their next career opportunity, I would encourage you to connect with my colleague, Lisa Hales. Lisa can give you great insight into life at SSE.I believe Life's too short to miss an opportunity. The worst case scenario is that it may not work out but you will have tried and that says a lot. Best case - you'll be doing something exciting and can be proud of your achievements. Whichever way your career develops I wish you every success going forward and hope you meet your goals and aspirations.
