I started working at O'Brien Customs and Forwarding two years ago when I returned to Australia after spending 4 and a half years studying in China. While working at O'Brien I have been tasked with streamlining the quotation system, and have developed new quotation templates using Excel. I have also created freight calculators for our clients, which allows them to look up a freight cost estimate based on the supplier, mode of transport and cargo volume.During our company's transition to Rhenus Logistics, I have been assisting where possible with the system transfer. I was the main liaison between our office and the transition team, and created the initial blueprint for how the Rhenus software needed to work in order to provide the same functionality as our own software.I am currently working on expanding my skillset to include programming. In order to achieve this, I am studying Front-End Development through Treehouse. Topics I have covered so far have been HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and PHP, Ruby and Android development.
