Alison Emerick, Founder of Ease Living, is an occupational therapist with more than 20 years of experience in management and helping patients achieve and maintain independence with their daily living and mobility tasks. In years as a therapist and after an experience with her Grandmother who developed dementia, she noticed that most commonly used home medical products- think canes, incontinence products and walkers- are not very useful and they are ugly. Alison set out to find products that are not only functional, but beautiful. Items people will want to use. After a move to Detroit, Alison decided it was time to scour the globe for the best products available and create a place for people to learn about and acquire these products and Ease Living was born. Ease Living has been discussed in Forbes, The Detroit News and HME News and has appeared on the NBC affiliate station in Detroit. Alison is a proud graduate of both Valparaiso and Rush Universities, Detroit's Build Institute, a member of the Million Dollar Women Summit Senior Leadership Team and Founder & Chapter Ambassador for the Aging 2.0 Detroit Chapter.
