I'm in the beginning stages of launching a solar recycling program for CED Greentech branches in Washington to divert solar material from landfills. I've conducted extensive research on best practices, networked with multiple national recycling firms, and debated local governments about laws going into place. The first recycling shipment of 55 panels went through smoothly and now I look forward to engaging with more installers and homeowners directly to expand participation. Audits inventories for divisional branches across the West. Travel to each location in advance, swiftly conduct an accounting clean-up to ensure operations are ready for inventory. Oversee proper inventory procedures to assure accurate counts. Provide suggestions for operational processes based on the audit.My daily endeavors safeguard a clean back-office. I specialize in catching incoming mistakes, correcting to prevent further issues, and providing subsequent guidance to team members to prevent repetitive errors. I also swiftly handle any incoming paperwork, i.e. invoicing, credit memos, freight claims, etc. to prevent a backlog that may inhibit operations. When I first began in this role, I cleared out a backlog of more than a year's worth of aging invoices, debit memos, credit memos, and return goods authorizations within a few weeks. Streamlined account payables/receivables processes for two profit centers, Seattle and Bellingham. Audited previous accounting work, discovering close to $500,000 in duplicate payments and overcharges. My investigations during inventory reconciliation lead to a 65% decrease in our 2020 inventory writedown.
