The Conference Coordinators plan, organize, and facilitate conferences and special events that are held on Bryant’s campus throughout the academic year and the summer, including both undergraduate commencement ceremonies, and the women's summit. This position requires a person to have the ability to problem solving efficiently, be completely organized and pay the utmost attention to detail, while providing exceptional customer service. Conference coordinators must be able to work with and take direction from many different managers and clients, as new projects begin almost every week.Other tasks include preparation for lodging, mealtimes, building reservations, audio visual assistance, and internal affairs. Along with decorating event spaces, and designing print materials for clients. A conference coordinator position allows you to work indvidually with some clients, but also requires you to work as a team on larger events.

During the internship I worked on projects for the mobile app team, and the design team. I created summaries weekly on new technology, and on what the companies competitors were doing. I stayed current with information and reports published on Corporate Insights. I assisted in restructuring and reorganizing the departments SharePoint sites. I learned to work within the agile project flow, and sharpened my Excel and Microsoft Word skills. During the five years I worked with RYLA, I learned more about myself than I ever imagined possible. I attended the conference for emerging leaders at 15 years old, and returned for the next five summers doing different jobs each time. Having different positions allowed me to enjoy the conference and experience it's beauty from many different angles. My favorite position was the junior counselor position, which I held at age 16. In this position I was mentored by a senior counselor and a team of senior staff members, while mentoring a group of 13 students, and teaching them about the importance of knowing their leadership style, team dynamics and bringing enthusiasm and passion to all of their future endeavors. In the following years I worked as a senior counselor, where I was able to mentor the people directly facilitating the students at the conference. This job was interesting, as it taught me about the importance of effective communication between the lowest level employees and the highest level management. No matter the scope or function of an organization, maintaining effective communication between upper level managers and newer employees is a vital to a business. My final year at RYLA I worked as the conference's purchasing director. In this position I inventoried supplies from the previous years conference. Helped develop a budget, then reconciled material request from various groups within the conference with materials we already had and materials we had to purchase. I created daily shopping lists, went on supply runs and also helped our organization obtain tax exempt cards at several major retailers in the area. I hope to be able to help make more RYLA magic happen in the future.

Teaching both private and group figure skating lessons to beginner, and intermediate skaters. Worked with children ages 2-14. Experience working with disabled children as well as able bodied children within this age range too.

Supervising children ages 8-10. Planning various programs for the children. Maintaining a friendly and open atmosphere to allow the children to grow and build their friendships with one and other.

Teach Children ages 2-14 basic figure skating.
