MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS• Led the completion of contract acquisition with Mark Kay, which became COSi’s second largest customer, contributing 20% of revenues.• With my colleagues led the turnaround of the group achieving a change of EBITDA from a loss of £11 million to a profit of £4 million in two years, which was recognised by the Institute of Turnaround Professionals with a 2004 Award.• Spearheaded the complete refinance of the group with an £18 million package of asset based lending facilities, providing exit for the incumbent financier (Barclays Bank) and significant increase in cash headroom for the group. As part of the refinance negotiated increase in equity ownership for management from 40% to 60% of the group. • Energised the organisation to focus on working capital opportunities, leading to significant release of cash flow from reductions in inventory (30% decrease in 8 months, 50% decrease in two years) and increase in current receivables from 90 to 98% in three months• Increased profits and cash flow by disposing of two South African businesses within a three month period.• Optimised working capital and increased margins by creating a more visible, timely and reliable financial reporting environment and by establishing more rigorous cash management reporting and controls as well as programs to reduce capex and opex.• Transformed and enhanced the culture of the Finance team by creating a team of professionals who were highly respected both internally and externally.
