Mission Mycelium nourishes social movements, organizations, and leaders to grow and flourish. In it's natural network, mycelium connects the roots of trees and plants and skillfully shares nutrients and resources to support the health of the entire ecosystem with which it moves. Mission Mycelium accomplishes the same for social movements and their ecosystems.At Mission Mycelium, we create a dynamic underground network providing the following to new, budding, and mature social movements:Creating social change campaigns and movement infrastructure,Providing movement strategy support,Coaching social justice movement leaders,Connecting movements and movement organizers to each other in meaningful ways,Advocating for an end to the death penalty, mass incarceration, and other forms of oppression,Providing pro bono legal services to New Orleans’ cultural bearers and musicians, Organizing faith leaders on a variety of social justice issues,Providing rapid response legal support to social justice movements and protester support,Providing conflict resolution trainings and services such as mediation and restorative justice circles, andFacilitating strategic planning and retreats for groups, organizations, and movements dedicated to creating social change, andProviding for the unmet needs in our communities and in our movements that fall in the gaps of the current non-profit ecosystem.
