As a senior assistant director, I coordinate the center-wide early engagement initiative at the #2 Career Center in the country for over 12,000 first-and second-year students and transfer students to promote early engagement in career development, helping students maximize their potential.My responsibilities include student coaching, information sharing, resource development, career readiness workshop facilitation, program and event planning, curriculum design and development, partnership cultivation, and experience optimization.1. My professional career in higher education started as the Event Coordinator for a values-and community-based leadership development program. As s Student Assistant I worked directly with the Director of Development and Associate Vice President within the Office of Vice President for Student Affairs. In this role I supported efforts to raise funds for 24 student affairs departments and strategic initiatives that support the holistic development of students at the University of North Florida. My responsibilities included:1. Oversaw the Osprey Plaza Paver Campaign - created for students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends of the University of North Florida to leave a lifelong legacy - including the administrative tasks of documenting purchases in an Excel database and on Raisers Edge, ordering pavers, assigning and documenting location of pavers in Osprey Plaza, filing work orders with Physical Facilities to have pavers installed, and providing a monthly report to the Vice President for Student Affairs on orders2.
