I have worked as a writer, editor, and photographer for Scholastic for three years, covering both campus and off-campus events and receiving Indiana Collegiate Press Association awards for my work. My articles have explored a diverse range of subjects, including news, culture, politics, and sports.

I served as a teaching fellow for God and the Good Life, an introductory philosophy course. I led discussion groups, mentored student projects, evaluated student writing assignments, and participated in weekly pedagogy meetings.

Architecture, Health And Sustainability Lab

For three consecutive semesters, I assisted in data collection and the development of the CAFES research app (now available on the App Store), which assesses the built environment and its links with nutrition and public health. I also worked on miscellaneous lab projects (data entry, literature reviews, game development, social media promotion, and other projects) to keep the lab running smoothly.

I manage the Facebook and Instagram pages for Education Bridge, a Notre Dame-based nonprofit that builds schools in South Sudan. I coordinate with donors and plan fundraising events, serving as a liaison to Education Bridge Club ND and representing Education Bridge on campus.

For 2.5 months, I worked with World Vision's Faith and Development department in WVI's Global Centre Los Angeles office. I performed curatorial work in SharePoint, tagging and organizing a document library to streamline the knowledge management process and simplify document retrieval. I also performed communications work, developing internal orientation material and copywriting for a Faith and Development newsletter to be sent out to almost 600 World Vision employees.

I ran the cash register, waited tables, managed delivery orders, and worked as a barista for my summer job at Ginger and Spice. I also assisted with training new employees.

I compiled data on outreach projects to increase the effectiveness of fundraising efforts. I also drafted letters to local civic organizations to build community partnerships and served at a County Fair booth to represent Heifer's work and mission.

I interned with a graduate student mentor in the Dougherty Lab at Caltech, using tools such as OPUS and PyMOL to study the structure of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. I presented my findings to the lab at the end of the summer.
