Alison is an experienced, award-winning design professional with a diverse portfolio. She has over 14 years of experience and has led design and production across multiple practice areas including commercial, retail, hospitality, institutional, healthcare, mixed-use, and adaptive reuse projects. She is inspired by the marriage between creativity and practicality in architectural design and is most compelled by how her work engages people on all levels – through conversation, care, compromise, commitment, trust, and achieving desired outcomes together. Her extensive knowledge of the work processes, culture, and practical requirements of her clients make her an invaluable team member through each phase of a project. Alison is a deeply committed humanitarian and community-impact leader, focused on supporting vulnerable and under-served populations, and creating a beautiful, equitable, and sustainable world for future generations. She currently serves as a co-leader of the Portland chapter of Project Color Corps, a volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to creating change by painting inner city neighborhoods with color and pattern that impart positive messages of optimism and hope. She is also an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and Global Village and has worked on builds in Oregon, California, Sri Lanka, and Portugal.
