I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the business which was set up by my father, Dr Verner Wheelock, in 1990. We aim to support food processing businesses that require training or consultancy in HACCP, Food Safety or Auditing, to ensure they achieve consistently high grades in BRCGS or other third party audits.We can assist in planning training programmes that will help to develop a food safety culture or provide the skills necessary to implement a HACCP system effectively. Individuals can boost their career prospects through attending our range of HACCP, Food Safety and Auditing courses and achieving nationally recognised qualifications.Our expert network of trainers cover the whole of the UK to provide cost-effective training at your own site, which is ideal for groups of 5-15 staff. Alternatively, we can accommodate individuals or smaller groups at our training centre in Skipton, North Yorkshire on our scheduled open courses. We also carry out SMETA ethical audits for food processors and farms in the UK and Ireland, ensuring workers are treated fairly.

Based at Head Office, my main duties included providing marketing support for our UK wide depots and trade counters. Working closely with the product management team I helped to produce a range of catalogues and brochures to promote Parker Merchanting's products including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Road Barriers & Signage, and Construction Site Safety consumables.Also worked closely with a design agency to develop own brand packaging for PPE and other products, and with a PR agency to promote the company and product launches through the trade press.
