RESPONSIBILITIES: I was entrusted with leading our post-sales operations and support teams to ensure all corporate client needs were met with speed and accuracy. This included hiring, training and motivating team members to deliver top-notch performances; collaborating and communicating with board members and executives across multiple departments to achieve shared goals; establishing strong protocols to improve the efficiency and quality of every customer interaction; and turning what we learned into new growth strategies, innovative ways to automate processes, and building better relationships with our clients, which included Nat-Geo Expeditions, Natural Habitat Adventures, Thomson Safaris, Adventure Life, and many more. RESULTS: Exceptional client satisfaction is a high bar in an industry like travel that can be fraught with uncertainties, sudden changes and high volumes of transactions. Through my leadership and knack for finding the better way, we sailed over that bar by streamlining processes, reducing errors, exceeding customers’ expectations, and ultimately raising revenues and profits. RESPONSIBILITIES: Serving the corporate travel needs of major B2B clients requires an arsenal of managerial skills to process the avalanche of monthly reservations, schedule changes, airline policy updates, and many other contingencies. I fully embraced that responsibility, working cohesively and largely remotely with sales, operations, accounting, and client teams to ensure efficient, accurate performance. I set up web databases all parties could access in real time; created systems for onboarding and communicating with clients; engineered precise auditing procedures; and trained, coached and inspired our global teams.RESULTS: Overall, my efforts led to a 40% rise in sales revenue while significantly reducing client frustration and churn. My innovative auditing system reduced errors by 75%, saving the company over $100,000 a year. Through the creative deployment of multiple platforms and technologies, I put together an operations team in India that successfully collaborated with our other departments.
