Previously, Alissa Jacob was Executive Director- Communications and Marketing at Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. (NYSE: ARE) Additionally, Ms. Jacob was an investor and business development adviser at RetailMLS, the #1 Marketplace for Retail Space.Formerly a Vice President in the Investment Properties Institutional Group at CBRE, Ms. Jacob was intimately involved in all facets of the sales process, including due diligence review, creation of offering memoranda, financial modeling and marketing. Prior to her career at CBRE, Ms. Jacob worked on the residential development and ownership side for Glenwood, where she focused on strategy, site acquisitions, refinancing, PR, advertising and marketing efforts. Before receiving her Masters, Ms. Jacob worked as an office specialist at CBRE, focused on delivering results for her clients by minimizing their risk. She was instrumental in structuring leases, acquisitions and dispositions and arranged sophisticated methods of corporate relocations, occupancy cost reduction strategies and early lease renewal negotiations. When she graduated, Ms. Jacob participated in CBRE's Wheel Program – a competitive 18 month mentorship program designed to give young professionals a well-rounded foundation in the commercial real estate industry. Ms. Jacob began her promising career in 2006 interning for CBRE's IP Institutional Group. During this time, she assisted the team in the sale of Stuyvesant Town, the largest single asset exchange in history, sold for a record $5.4 billion.
