I'm a writer with a debut novel coming in 2025 from Simon & Schuster/Emily Bestler Books and an active supporter of writing communities and programs in the Bay Area and beyond. I'm also a lawyer who has worked with and within high-growth technology companies. I began my legal career at Venture Law Group (later acquired by Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe) and later joined Elance (later Upwork) as its Director of Business Development and acting in-house counsel. I had a variety of roles at Google, including Associate General Counsel, head of the Asia-Pacific and Latin America legal teams, and Chief Operating Officer of the Legal department. At Google, I launched many of the company's international entities, managed cross-functional country teams, and ran global legal operations across 15 offices. I'm a former board member of EARN (now SaverLife), a non-profit that enabled low-wage workers to invest in college, homes, and small businesses, and am delighted to support our public libraries as a board member of Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.
