The genesis of Flower & Tonic stems from my unique experience as a sales consultant in the pharmaceutical, cosmeceutical, nutraceutical and healthcare software industries.As a pharmaceutical representative with Bristol Myers Squibb and Novartis, I was integral in the launch of several blockbuster drugs. My therapeutic areas of expertise included treatment of diabetes, cardiovascular, sexual health, ADHD, anxiety depression, and movement disorders.The Boston territory provided me the opportunity to work with the most respected voices in medicine and develop national Key Opinion Leaders (KOLS) and influencers. I was later drawn to the cosmeceutical space, working as part of a skincare startup, Neocutis. It had promise as a prescription topical for wound care but evolved into a successful beauty line sold by dermatologists.Over the last 5 years, I was introduced to the business of pharmaceutical compounding and HRT (hormone therapy treatment). This unique insight into the middle space where dietary supplements, prescription-grade skin care, compound pharmacy products, and hormone replacement live combined with stints in healthcare software sales for MD Revolution and Lucid Green, has offered a comprehensive view across consumer, manufacturer and marketing opportunities.As both a consumer seeking alternative therapies and a mom of three girls, I realized the need for an objective resource that could connect consumers with credible, effective alternative science-based therapies.
