I've been involved in Adventure Sports, from kayaking with my father at the age of 8 to professional Outdoor Instructor in North Wales and most recently as Operations Director of high ropes adventure operator and builder Flying Fox.In my role as Operations Director, I am responsible for the safe operations of multiple high ropes adventure locations and activities in India and Kenya. In both countries, we are the only Company that builds and operates high ropes adventure activities to EN Standard EN15567.My qualifications in the adventure sports industry range from Climbing and Paddlesports to Industrial Ropes Access and Operational Ropes Course Inspector.In addition to Flying Fox, I am Co-Founder & CEO of Risk Memo. The idea for Risk Memo originated during my role as Operations Director because I needed it. In order to make Risk Memo a reality I taught myself HTML, CSS and Javascript to build our web app using the Vue,js framework, as well as Flutter & Firebase for the native applications. I am now, however, happy to have passed the Developer role to my Co-Founder & Chief Technical Officer Swarupa and her development team.These new app development skills and having close to 20 years of experience in the Adventure Industry, including 10 years as Operations Director managing thousands of items of PPE and a team of 40 instructors, have left me in a unique position to lead Risk Memo.Finally, other achievements include kayaking the white water rapids of the Zambezi, leading a canoe expedition to the Peruvian Amazon with the British Exploring Society and being recognised by Health & Safety at Work Magazine's "40 under 40" to watch in the Health & Safety Industry.
