Working across the Cooper Software Sales & Engineering functions, I am responsible for providing technical support to the sales team from technical demos of our products through to development of key sales tools including sales documention, the company website and process management tools.

As founder and principal consultant, I was responsible for all strategic and day to day operations of the business from technical presales through delivery, invoicing and ongoing customer support.

An award-winning software house, Kamarin Computers provide tailored business systems integrating with the more popular SME accounts packages. As Senior Project Manager for their EPOS and stock management solutions, utilising Prince 2 principles, I created and defined the successful project methodology which delivered all their projects.

While travelling, I worked as the foreign English teacher in a prestigious Beijing school, responsible for designing the syllabus, creating lesson plans and delivering lessons to improve conversational English. Teaching 16 different classes of various ages (from 13 to 18), sizes (6 to 48 students) and abilities so a flexible and creative approach was essential.

Novus Leisure is an operator of premium bar and club operations based largely in London’s City and West End including the very successful Tiger Tiger brand. As Systems Manager I was responsible for ensuring all core IT services (including all desktop and server software, email, networks, telephones, EPOS and accountancy package) were fully supported and aligned with the business requirements. I was also responsible for project managing all system upgrades, migrations and rollouts from system specification, 3rd party negotiations and project planning through to implementation.

Zonal are the UK’s largest supplier of retail till systems to the hospitality industry, writing their own software and manufacturing their own tills in Edinburgh. Starting on their support desk, as Team Leader I was responsible for leading the staff on shift and providing 2nd and 3rd line support to Zonals customers. Then created a role, new to the company at the time, of Technical Trainer responsible for creating and presenting training courses for both internal staff and external users on subjects as varied as product design to system use.
