I managed the team at Aston Carter that covered all Permanent hires across the UK for our Financial and Professional Services clients. Aston Carter work with some of the biggest and most exciting clients in the Banking, Wealth and Asset Management and Insurance industries, as well as with Management Consulting and Audit organisations.Our staffing capabilities ranged from the search and selection of individual C-suite management, to the rapid and cost-effective build of high-volume new teams and locations.My team had a selective and quality driven approach at all times, whether working with our clients on a retained or contingent basis.

The Stamford Group was acquired by Allegis Group and I built from scratch and managed the Permanent team, which was focused on the recruitment of top tier business professionals in the Swiss market. I managed relationships with candidates and clients in the financial services, insurance, management consulting, FMCG, industrials, logistics/transport and energy markets. As well as sales and team leadership, I drove integration initiatives and supported the significant business change that resulted from the buy-out. The Stamford Group have now been rebranded to TEKsystems.

Situated in the parliamentary office for the Labour MP and Shadow Housing Minister, I assisted in all of the work that staff at the House of Commons encounter. In particular I built up a considerable knowledge of the housing sector and developed speech writing and research skills, as well as an in depth understanding of the policy making process and political life in parliament in general.

I took up an advertised post as an intern for Tim Shand, the Labour PPC for Guildford, working on the election campaign. I conducted in-depth political research to equip the candidate with suitable information for hustings and events. I also controlled the website, communicated with the press and engaged with the public.
