I set things up quickly so businesses can start seeing new customers sooner. I began working with an investor providing research and analysis for crypto and NFT projects. The data available to make good purchase decisions was minimal, so I built a learning and analysis website to aid the process.

Open Polytechnic needed developers with complementary design skills to create interactive content for their online courses. Guided by a learning brief I was tasked with building these interactive experiences. Using vanilla HTML, CSS &, Javascript, and Figma, I produced many experiences without missing a deadline or going over the allocated time for an individual experience. I enjoyed working and communicating with the team and designers to make it happen.

In the wake of covid many small businesses around New Zealand needed help upgrading their online systems. A colleague approached me with government contracts to help upgrade them. I was tasked with consulting, reviewing, planning, and implementing solutions to help improve website design, usability, inventory management, and sales. Using website builders such as Wix and Webflow I rebuilt our clients websites. For many, I also added an inventory management solution to those that needed it. We ending up working with 5+ businesses to rebuild their online systems and all of the websites are currently live.

Founded a business which helps students and graduates get to know themselves better in order to inform their career decisions. I Built a mobile application in C# and MaterialUI which allows users to record their day-to-day habits and audit their energy levels for each task. In preparation for the launch I designed and built a website in webflow. At the same time had a health crisis and took a break from the project. Looking back I now realised I made many mistakes in the ideation and testing process.

Taught game design and development techniques and practices to design students in the second year Game Art and Development course which focused on producing games in Unity3d. Helped shape the course as a whole by researching and developing NCEA approved content.

Co-Founder of a company which focused on creating well-crafted experiences with games as the medium using Unity3D as the core tool. Initial roles involved full-time research and development in aspects such as narrative, psychology, and game design. Moved into a business focused role working with Lance Burges from Miller Dean Accounting to produce a well-crafted business plan for an NZFC grant application. Managed, crafted and delivered consistent content across a wide range of social media channels.

Worked under lecturers Walter Langelaar, Douglas Easterly, Byron Mallet, and Peter Freer, to teach website, film, 3D Animation, and game design techniques and practices to university students. Took pride in my ability to tutor and coach students in order to unlock their potential as designers.

I helped a local startup secure funding to develop a mobile game that they had designed. Working directly with the startup members as well as a designer we were to produce the game within a short deadline of 3 months. While managing the project I hosted regular meetings with the team and consulted with local game developers to devise a roadmap. Using the Unity game engine and C# to develop the game, the project reached the final stage on time. Unfortunately, the client wanted to extend the scope of work without extra pay so there was a dispute. The project ended with a peaceful resolution and the game was launched.

Assisted in the launch and completion of a successful Pledge Me campaign with the intention of creating a mobile application for William Trubridge, with the added purpose of protecting New Zealand's Maui's and Hector's dolphins. Focused on writing copy to reach key investors and large audiences.

Upon completing a University degree I founded a game development studio with two colleagues. We recieved funding to work with Clemengers BBDO and the Wellington Phoenix to develop a Facebook Game. The goal for the game was to create an online experience for fans during the week that would get them excited for the weekend matches and as a result get more ticket sales. I was tasked with programming the gameplay and user interface. We consulted with Clemengers and the Wellington Phoenix regularly and built a web based application in Javascript. Unfortunately, The Phoenix weren't willing to continue development and, in the endw we removed the branding elements before completing and shipping the game.
