I currently work on a variety of endeavours through my company, EditHouse, including management of various short term projects, technical writing and administering several websites.From 2006 until 2010, I worked on contract as a Project Manager for the ABC. I oversaw several projects, including the national replacement of production editing equipment and the deployment of automation systems to ten television studios. For both of these projects I set up the evaluation committee, wrote the tender request, negotiated a purchase contract, managed ongoing relations with stakeholders and reported to the ABC executive and auditors.From 2001 until 2005, I ran my own video post‐production business. This included responsibility for all the legal, financial and other aspects of the proprietary company. EditHouse employed several freelance and casual staff, and the facilities included three video editing suites. At various times during that period I was also a part-time teacher at TAFE, UNSW and UWS.I have written technical articles, tutorials and reviews for the magazines Digital Media World, Broadcast Engineering News, Desktop and Metro. In 2003, I developed 8 modules for TAFE's Diploma of Screen, including Operate Master Control, Configure Broadcast Software, DVD Authoring and Manage Multimedia Assets. In 2003 I also designed the station technical plan for TVS's successful bid for Sydney’s community-broadcasting license (Channel 31).
