With a focus on reducing IT costs by 20-30% and aligning these services to the business’s diversification strategy. Providing claims & customer management services for organisations in the insurance, fleet, automotive and property industries across the globe. As the lead enterprise architect I was responsible for:• Development of business case and IT strategy for digital transformation programme to consolidate the Innovations Groups Contact Centres from the US, UK & Australia in to South Africa. With a focus in reducing the IT costs by 20% and standardising their services globally. This included moving their Contact Centre telephony services in the Cloud & introducing Omni-channel capability, moving the organisation to Office 365 and support the marketing department in the rebranding of the group. Including, development of agile network infrastructure enabling greater mobility, new identity management platform to ensure enhanced level of security. Aberdeen Asset Management is a pure-play asset management group. As the lead enterprise I was responsible for:• Developed CMS Strategy & Procurement Selection, development of cloud based web content management strategy and high-level design for highly regulated business. Partnered with marketing department to establish business requirements, advised in the “art of the possible” with current cloud platform technologies. Short listed suppliers of potential technology providers, contributed to / member of procurement board and advised on technology best fit. Budget circa £1.1 million • Developed Cloud-based “Virtual Robotic Workforce” Strategy & Design, using off the shelf products (Thoughtomony) to replicate the interactions of people and technology to automate many operational and support processes quickly, cost effectively and reliably. Sympathetically identified high value gain areas within the business that fitted criteria for virtual robotic automation. Predicted operational cost reduction of circa 23% on initial processes identified, reduction process time 30-33%. Budget circa £1 million for 1st three years.• Developed Strategy & Design for Cloud Based “Direct to Consumer Financial Marketing Platform”, allowing the consumer to setup investment plans for retirement, family education, etc. Develop cost model to compare operating costs between running the solution on cloud (Microsoft Azure) and on premise. Budget circa £1.5 million for 1st three years.• Acquisition, migration of an key financial applications/systems used to manage £200 plus billion of assets. Established a migration plan that met the business requirements, addressing operational and security concerns by designing a segregated but integrated environment. • Designed & Implemented Cloud Base High-Performance Computing & Machine Learning Platform, using Microsoft Azure cloud services. These services were designed to be “just in time” and “pay as you use” IT services.

AstraZeneca plc is an English–Swedish multinational pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company. It is eighth largest drug company in the world based on sales revenue and recently is focusing on biopharmaceuticals. As the chief enterprise architect I was responsible for:• Developed Strategy & Design for End User Digital Transformation Programme, deployment 56000 end-user devices across 66 countries (200 sites) and migration to Office 365. Designed a solution to fully automate the deployment user device (upgrade or replace) at a rate 15000 per month. Developed an operating model that encompassed self-service and ever green model. Remediated and consolidate 2000 business applications by 23% by removing legacy applications and applications that functionality overlaps. Leading to significate reduction in operational costs and workload. Increase employee productivity and satisfaction by 4.5 points to 7.5, and allowing the business to insource core parts of the IT services.

Primary role within Wipro was to build and enhance the End User Computing practice and to nurture the team to provide solutions and offerings that were scalable and fit for purpose and achieved client business demand and outcomes. In unison with this core role Alistair was deployed as Chief Enterprise Architect within a Global Account, subsequently driving their End User strategy and delivery of a global cross client technologies and platforms. Within this role he is the driving force in defining not only the technology, but also the use of best practice within the deployment, procurement and financial aspects of this global deployment. Within the core role, I was a change agent within Wipro, bringing a wealth of experience to both on-shore and off-shore teams. I assisted, mentored and nurtured the Consultancy Practice, in their ability to capture and define customer requirements and new ways of working within a dynamic multi-client engagement model which Wipro operates within.

Particular innovations were the introduction of Microsoft System Centre suite 2012 (pre-release) for the private cloud and development of the self-service portal, where I had the ultimate design responsibility.Previous Projects: Lead Solution Director on for the design and development of multiple proofs of concept portals hosted on Office 365. While working at Conchango (now known as EMC Consultancy Services) I was assigned to Marks and Spencer as the lead enterprise architect responsible for the design and management in the upgrade of the stores portal to SharePoint 2007.The core function of this programme is to communicate performance data, collection of store operational data for consolidation and manage store online applications for 500 plus stores. Supervising a team of 10 developers, platform architects and business analysts. Coordinating interactions with the customer and providing value add consulting services on exploiting the additional functionality of SharePoint to automate and optimise business processes.
