I provided resource planning and third-party cost analysis for two 2GW Bid Submission for Ijmuiden Ver. The Bid included innovative use of Offshore Solar and my involvement expanded to the day-to-day Project Lead for a €58m ‘first of its kind’ demonstrator for Lessons Learned and to de-risk future €500m+ modular systems.Key Achievements and ResponsibilitiesI developed the Project Charter and initial Management Plan and presented to Senior Management Teams.I coordinated the Preferred Supplier Agreements, setting out Project requirements for the Legal documents.

Sabbatical to care for an Elderly Parent

I collated and reworked the Engineers input to five Offshore Tender Submissions. I was Point of Contact towards the Joint Venture for producing the Partnership and Development Management Agreements.Following successful award, I took on the Deputy Project Director role for the £145m Permitting phase of Muir Mhòr Wind Farm. I set up Ways of Working and Process documents. I was responsible for HSSE to the Partner and producing Company Governance before handing over the role to Engineering Management.Key Achievements and ResponsibilitiesI refocused the Technical Submission with a stronger narrative through the documents and to enable the reader to read them as ‘one author.’ I reduced the word count by ~15% while maintaining Engineering standards and ensuring Bid quality remained high to maximise the Bid scoring opportunity.I acted as Scrum Master coordinating the delivery of Partnership Agreements within a tight 3-month window.I produced Decision Papers on behalf of the Project and presented on strategic requests to the Partnership Steering Committee and to internal Senior Management Teams.As a Mental Health First Aider, I promoted Wellbeing with monthly five-minute sessions. I provided listening and support through Covid and to key members in times of stress, anxiety and as part of their return to work.

Seconded into Business Development from BU Offshore Development to propose a Hydrogen strategy across existing UK assets. Representing Vattenfall in Strategy Working Groups and responsible for working with Partners to develop commercial scale Hydrogen projects at Herne Bay, Kent, and Aberdeen Bay. Key responsibilities• Point of Contact for opportunities in the UK, coordinating strategy towards partners; external and internal stakeholders; and industry bodies, including feeding into Governments Hydrogen Strategies.• I was responsible towards Partner, Project Sponsor, PSG and PRB on progress, budgeting, and HSSEQ.• Incorporated BU Offshore processes into Sector Coupling Team, including developing documentation and process for the Department.Key achievements• Initiated the RASCI and Organisation matrix for use across the Vattenfall Sector Coupling portfolio.• Recommend the decision to stop a Project and develop an alternative solution for the Partner.• Proposed a Hydrogen pipeline from UK assets representing 15% of Business targets for Markets department.

Key responsibilities• Package Manager for the £58m multi-year Contract for the Civils Construction at the nationally award winning Pen y Cymoedd Project.• Managing the contract against budget, progress, health and safety and working alongside other package managers to resolve issues of interface.• Undertook safety walks on a monthly basis with contractor looking at specific work areas.• Developing budgets and programmes for all main activities at Tollgate decisions.• Interface Manager for the tree-felling contracts, ground investigation contract and for initial design activities.Key achievements• I represented the company at Cardiff Senedd Parliamentary events, and escorted Secretaries of State, Local Politicians and Schools groups on site visits. I have presented at a number of Local Community, Stakeholder events and Energy conferences as well as Broadcast Interviews for BBC Radio Wales and library footage for BBC TV.• In 2012 stepped up to the role as Interface Manager role for 18 months to oversee the completion of the £5m tree-felling Contract alongside the £1.2m Ground Investigation Contract, and the £0.5m Design Contract for turbine layout. Started 3 months late but delivered on time to budget.• I provided commercial management on a number of variation orders including £0.5m of environmental initiatives and £6.9m to close out ground risk to the Project, previously assessed at £7.4m.• I provided mentoring support to new Project Managers on the Wieringermeer (Netherlands) and Forst Bresnig (Germany) Projects.

Setting up the Construction Department in Wales managing a number of projects from consent through to commissioning.• Successfully managing the procurement and construction of two projects with a combined contract valuation of ≈£30m, providing 27.3MW of renewable energy.• Chairing progress and interface meetings to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.• Monitoring and reporting to the Client on costs against budget and works against programme.• Working with Client, funding agencies, suppliers, and solicitors on achieving Project Finance.• Meeting with Councils and Consultees to ensure off-site works are completed on programme.
