I work mainly with corporate clients and in particular Owner Managed Businesses run by Entrepreneurs. I am experienced at agri businesses, professional practices (including legal), manufactures, wholesalers, information technology companies and FE colleges.

Started with BDO Stoy Hayward in Nottingham as a director in the partnership, was successful in my partnership application in 2001 but we exited BDO and were acquired by Tenon. I became a partner in 2001 and remained a senior partner until March 2013.I looked after a significant portfolio of clients billing betweeen £1.2-£1.6m of fees. I was responsible for the whole client relationship as well as signing off the audited accounts. I acted for most of my clients for over 10 years and developed strong relationships with them. I was regarded as a trusted adviser to those clients. They included privately owned SMEs, large legal practices with 100+ partners, AIM listed companies and FE colleges. The sectors that I specialised in were wholesalers, agricultural businesses, manufactoring, IT, legal and educational.I am also an experienced adviser hvaing acted as non execuuve director, undertaken a significant amount of due diligence and advised on restructruiing, refinancing, tax planning, recruitment and many other business related matters.I was the Chairman for the audit firm for six years to October 2011. I then acted as Compliance Partner remaining on the Board and overseeing the audit firm's technical, compliance and risk.

Trained in Bristol and worked there for 7 years and transferred to Birmingham where became senior manager. Was within the audit teams of both offices
