I have extensive experience of writing, editing and strategising to deliver commercial growth for a wide variety of consumer and professional titles and publishers, having written for global brands such as the BBC and Vice, and worked in the editorial and events departments for WPP and Times Higher Education. In 2019 I launched THE Connect, the branded content studio at Times Higher Education, which creates campaigns and events for THE’s university and industry partners around the world. I build and manage its editorial and events teams, which work in close collaboration with colleagues in sponsorship, marketing and operations. I also write the content for and chair many of THE’s roundtable and webinar events, interviewing expert panels from higher education, tech, finance, law and built environment.Prior to my work at Times Higher Education, I worked within cross-discipline teams at Bookmark, a subsidiary of WPP, creating print and digital products for a range of global airlines such as Lufthansa, Virgin Atlantic, Singapore Airlines and others. During this period I was part of a core editorial group that increased delivery and reach year-on-year for partners around the world.I am used to work with a strong international focus and have held numerous roles that require me to work with colleagues and commercial partners with different skill sets and from different backgrounds. I regularly liaise with and offer strategic advice to internal and external stakeholders based in APAC, ANZ, Europe, LATAM, North America and MENA.Because of the varied nature of my experience I have developed an interest in all of technology, education, policy, sport and culture. In 2012 I wrote Abbey Road: The Best Studio in the World, published by Bloomsbury. It was met with positive reviews in the UK, North America and Australia, and hopefully Ridley Scott will forgive me for accidentally blanking him in one of the studio’s hallways, should we ever meet again.
