Successfully managed the Official Supporters Travel Program for the 2013/14 Commonwealth Bank Ashes Series in Australia. Managing a small team maintaining overall responsibility for sales, budget reporting, managing inventory, promotion of product, customer service and ground operations, the programme was delivered successfully both commercially and operationally. Hugely enjoyable to take a project through from inception to delivery and post event consolidation. Earned internal promotion after the performance of this event.

Wimbledon

Delivered the travel and logistics arrangements for the ICC World Twenty 20 in Sri Lanka. As part of a small officially appointed team I looked after and managed the travel arrangements for appointed Tour Operators, Sponsors and commercial partners. Based in Wimbledon in the pre-event stages and on the ground in Sri Lanka during the event forming part of the ground operations team looking after ticket distribution as well as managing supporter travel and logistics in Sri Lanka.

Based in the Sydney office,my main role was to create the Product package for the UK Ashes 2013 series. Sourcing accomodation, negotiating rates and contracts with suppliers, sourcing ground handlers and transportation, budget management, itinerary creation and development - as well as participating in all other office tasks in a close knit team and environment.

Charity Event held at the O2 in London. My work was to coordinate the pre event planning, preparation, logistics and supplier co-ordination. This included sourcing suppliers, negotiating rates - in some cases for the supplier to provide goods free of charge - with the aim of increasing the amount raised for charity. This was achieved through strategic use of my network of contacts. Other elements of the planning included marketing of the event, sales of tickets, collaborating with the Charity (Street Child Word Cup), health and safety, catering, event production, budget management, PR, legal contracts and artist sourcing ( confirmed acts The Wanted, Escala and Go West).

Crawley

Head office placement. Reviewed the budgetary spend (working budget of £10 million) and buying process for print and distribution materials. After completing reports and presenting them at Board level to show clear visibility of the actual spend compared to the budget, my task was to consolidate our suppliers. This succesful review and consolidation has made immediate savings in a variety of areas, best case example being a 39% saving in the UK.

My third secondment during the TUI Fast track management scheme - A commercial placement looking at the child pricing business model in relation to the skiing holidays. Working autonomously I delivered a commercial and marketing review highlighting Crystal Ski's position in the market and the possibilities both financial and marketing if significant changes were made. As a result of my presentation to the Managing Director and Product Director the changes have been incorporated successfully and now the product teams have visibility on the marketing of their products. Elements that went into this review included competitor benchmarking, product review, pricing policy review, MI analysis and presentation of findings.

Montreal

Second Placement of the Graduate scheme, I delivered a marketing promotion for the launch of a new product - Jumpstreet Tours now taking students to Europe. Worked closely with a designer to deliver two brochures covering two brands in English and French as well as updating and rewriting content for the websites and social media channels. Working alongside external consultants and the MD we addressed the paid ad campaign to align the new product with the existing product and the new marketing promotions. Re-designed the selling materials in time for the launch of the new product.

Amsterdam Area, Netherlands

Secondment 1 - Working in central Amsterdam in the Adventure Division, I delivered a new health and safety operating system for Sawadee Reizen, an industry leading small adventure travel business in Holland.The project placement involved setting up a process to ensure all trips were risk assessed appropriately and all additional excursions were correctly health and safety checked. In addition to this I addressed the way in which additional excursions were booked by clients and as such extra income was brought into the business.

PA to head of Service and his team. Took care of all travel and meeting arrangements as well as all other business requirements.

Developed and delivered a training programme for over 70 boys aged 6-15 over a period of 7 weeks. Was responsible for the content of the sessions and the delivery by the assisting cocahes. I encouraged new ideas from each coach and ensured sessions were lively, challenging and rewarding. Also coached the competitive side in summer competition.

Worked alongside the ESF to assist in the ski school lessons involving the children holidaying with Family Ski. This close relationship benefited the families as they had a direct link to feedback from the lessons without the language barrier and also benefited the ESF who could focus on teaching and feel comfortable I was providing the feedback on the lessons to parents. Also provided families with ski based itineraries, held introduction meetings and presentation sessions.

Football coach. Responsible for 3 travel teams, succesfully coaching the girls team to league success. Also delivered the programme for developing players aiming to reach travel standard, introduction to soccer sessions and elite high school training camp sessions.
