I lead on the New Product Development work where I collaborate with SRUC development chefs to produce new innovate food products for Scottish companies. I am Co-Project Manager of the Rural Innovation Support Service where I facilitates groups of companies and farmers to develop practical innovative research projects and previously helped deliver the Connect Local and Market Driven Supply Chain Projects. I am also project manager on a number of Farm Advisory Service projects including Arable Scotland, Winter Agronomy Roadshows and the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards product judging co-ordination and delivery I also leads on the Circular Economy and Food Waste projects and is Project Manager for SAC Consulting involvement in the Zero Waste Scotland Framework for delivering the Circular Economy Business Support Service. I have delivered a number of Knowledge Transfer and Exchange (KTE) projects in Environmental Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, Deer Farming and Food waste and the Circular Economy.

The Offshore Renewables Institute (ORI) is a partnership between the University of Dundee, the University of Aberdeen and the Robert Gordon University focused on developing and delivering solutions to the offshore wind industry, in the North Sea and globally. The ORI offers an interdisciplinary and integrated approach bringing together experts, researchers, and knowledge from different disciplines and all three university partners to confront challenges faced by Industry and Government in delivering and managing the offshore wind, wave and tidal industry across four main themes.As Project Development Manager, I work with the ORI Director and lead academics across the three partner institutions and the offshore renewables industry to win, develop and help manage RD&D projects, consultancies and Masters programmes.• Work with academics and researchers to develop a good understanding of the ORI's technical capability and identify the needs of the industry in each of the ORI themes that can be met by ORI associates• Understand and respond to the technical needs of industry partners and deliver work to commercial specifications and timelines• Develop project proposals in conjunction with academics to meet client objectives and help manage the delivery of the project to ensure timely delivery against objectives and reporting requirements• Produce technical proposals to fund consultancy opportunities between academics and industry• Undertake visits to companies and relevant business intermediaries as part of the business development process and proactively explore new collaborative links across the industry and development agency

Business Engagement Executive for Interface Food and Drink and I am hosted by the University Of Aberdeen. My role involves working with food and drink companies and trade associations to identify and implement collaborative and innovative projects with university research departments.• Identify opportunities for Scottish food & drink businesses to collaborate with the 17 universities in Scotland to develop innovative technologies and solutions. • Work with industry and trade associations to identify key issues affecting sectors and steering university academics to identify and research potential solutions.• Develop industry led Common Interest Groups and encourage them to collaborate. These groups include Scottish Rapeseed Oil, Resource Efficiency, Reformulation, Venison, Sea Buckthorn• Understand new innovative technologies being developed by university researchers and sell them to industry• Identify relevant funding mechanism and help academics and industry to complete relevant funding applications

Responsible for working with the TEDA Eco Centre in Tianjin, China to deliver project goals of €1.8 million "Implementing Industrial Symbiosis and EMS in Tianjin Binhai New Area". I was responsible for leading a local team to deliver the project. This included training all staff, developing long term strategies and passing on technical advice on project identification and implementation.

My role in the Industrial Symbiosis Project involves the identification and facilitation of opportunities for increased resource efficiency. This involves the identification of new business opportunities for members through the generation of synergies that help identify alternative uses for unwanted or waste materials. I was responsible for working with the Construction, Aggregates, Utilities and Manufacturing Sectors in Scotland to deliver the aims of the Industrial Symbiosis Programme. I have project managed over 30 projects that have diverted over 200,000T of material from Landfill.Additional key project involves working with the Utilities Sector to identify sites that can recycle waste spoil, organising and managing the NISP Scotland Materials Group and being Key Account Manager for the ISL work with Balfour Beatty and Morrison Construction.

Personally responsible for assisting companies in Teesside to reduce waste, increase recycling and save money through Implementation of Industrial Symbiosis. Primarily worked with the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Construction, Manufacturing, Alternative Energy and Recycling companies. Main Projects: Tyre recycling, integrated waste management of Industrial Estate and energy recovery from waste wood.

Environment Placement Programme with Business Environment PartnershipImplement an integrated Waste management program for Whiteside Industrial Estate. This involved a detailed waste audit of 21SME'S on the estate. Through waste exchanges and recycling I was able to reduce waste sent to landfill by 70%. This produced a 30% reduction in waste costs.
